ZENOCR PRESS KIT
Last updated 24 August 2026

Everything in this folder is free to use. No permission needed, no
attribution required, no embargo. If you need something that is not
here, email hello@zenocr.com. ZenOCR is made by one person, so you are
emailing the developer who wrote the code. Review copies and Pro codes
on request, usually answered the same day.

WHAT ZENOCR IS

ZenOCR turns screenshots, PDFs and bad handwriting into clean text and
Markdown. The AI models run on the user's own Mac. Nothing is uploaded,
there is no account, and there is no cloud service behind the app.

WHAT IS IN THIS FOLDER

fact-sheet.txt Platform, price, engines, output formats, limits.
boilerplate.txt Ready to publish copy in three lengths.
icon/ App icon at 1024, 512 and 256 px, and the menu bar
                  mark as SVG.
screenshots/ Twelve images. PNG, captured on macOS at 2x, each
on the same neutral grey background so they drop into
a layout without further work. Three of them are the
page and the result side by side.
video/ Three demo clips. MP4, H.264, 1920x1080 at 60 fps,
no audio, no watermark, no captions burned in.

SCREENSHOTS

Three of them put the page and the result side by side. Those are the
ones to use if you only have room for a single image.

zenocr-01-drop-a-file.png
The main window with nothing in it. This is what a new user sees:
drop a PDF or an image, or paste one.

zenocr-02-batch-running.png
Five files in the queue. One is being recognised, with the live
page count and tokens per second, and three are already saved.

zenocr-03-batch-finished.png
The same batch finished, each file saved to the export folder.

zenocr-04-invoice-result.png
An invoice recognised into Markdown, shown in the rendered
preview. Every line of the table came back, totals included.

zenocr-05-invoice-before-after.png
That invoice and the result side by side.

zenocr-06-paper-result.png
A two column academic paper recognised into headed, running text.

zenocr-07-paper-before-after.png
That paper page and the result side by side.

zenocr-08-handwriting-result.png
A page of 1833 handwriting read back as text.

zenocr-09-handwriting-before-after.png
The handwritten page and the result side by side. Handwriting is
the capability ZenOCR exists for, and this is the clearest single
    image of it.

zenocr-10-markdown-output.png
Raw Markdown of a recognised page, which is what lands on the
clipboard or in the saved file.

zenocr-11-settings.png
Settings: the two global shortcuts, theme, export folder.

zenocr-12-model-management.png
Model management, where the on-device models are downloaded and
    switched.

Which model produced what, in case you want to say so: the handwriting
result is GLM-OCR, the invoice, paper and Markdown results are
DeepSeek-OCR-2. Both run on the Mac, both are AI mode, and the app
switches between them in the panel shown in screenshot 12.

All screenshots were taken on macOS in light mode, on ZenOCR 2.0. Crop
them, scale them, or put them on your own background as you like.

VIDEO

zenocr-screenshot-ai-mode.mp4 Screenshot capture in AI mode,
reading a hard page. 10 seconds.
zenocr-screenshot-fast-mode.mp4 Screenshot capture in Fast mode,
reading text off the screen instantly.
                                  7 seconds.
zenocr-drag-and-drop.mp4 A file dropped in, Markdown out.
